Cod Liver Oil 1000mg

Cod Liver Oil contains high levels of the essential omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA which are needed for overall health. In particular, EPA essential fatty acids help to maintain heart health by reducing both high blood pressure and triglyceride levels. DHA on the other hand, is a vital component of the brain and is very important for children as it affects learning ability.

Cod liver oil is also readily converted by the body into mucin and hyaluronic acid - compounds that thicken joint fluid and prevent bone friction at the joints. As such, cod liver oil has a long history of use as a means of maintaining supple and flexible joints.

In addition to being a valuable source of omega 3 essential fatty acids, cod liver oil also provides good levels of both Vitamin A and Vitamin D.

Vitamin A is essential for growth, repair and eye health; and is also valuable for efficient immune function.

Vitamin D is essential for calcium absorption and is therefore important to bone health. It also appears to have a role at influencing mood.
