Valerian 500mg

Valerian helps to maintain normal sleeping patterns and may help to maintain a calm state of mind. The active compound within Valerian known as Valerenic acid helps to prevent the breakdown of GABA, a brain neurotransmitter which prevents over activity in the nervous system. This in turn can aid the promotion of a deeper and more relaxing sleep.

Normal GABA levels also help to maintain a feeling of calm and relaxation. Imbalances of this neurotransmitter are associated with mental health problems such as nervous tension, anxiety and stress. Valerian is often called 'Nature's Tranquilliser'.
